The River Station

Kyiv River Station is the main river port located on the right coast of Dnipro on Podil a historical part of a city.

Ancient times Podil was the city shopping centre and the goods were delivered mainly on water.

Boat transportations along Dnipro began in XIX th century, and numbers of landing stages were stretched on the right coast.

In 1953-1961 on the Post area new building of the station was constructed under the project of V.Gopkalo, V.Ladnogo and others. The building tower reminds masts of sailing boats.
